This is a beautiful campground. The bath houses could be a little larger (1 shower stall) but other than that, no complaints. There were wonderful trails in the park. We used this as a basecamp for riding the nearby Creeper trail. We will be back.

This campground is located a few miles outside of Boone and gives easy access to the many local activities available. Yes, the roads within the campground are a little rough but nothing that can't be managed at slow speeds. The wireless internet was sporadic and worked better when I was sitting outside of the camper. For those that desire wireless access, try to get a site that is close to the cg office. The bathrooms were clean despite the cg being full this weekend. The individual sites were spaced out as most KOAs are and there is lots of shade. Overall I thought this cg was great and I would definitely return.

First time we have camped at this KOA. We took advantage of the one night free weekend and chose one of the premium sites that had a paved patio, cushioned glider/seat, table with umbrella and fire pit. We also took our kayaks as there is a nice boat ramp and pier area in the campground that is on the Neuse river. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The cable system was great and the wifi also worked well. Historic downtown New Bern is about a ten minute drive away. We would definitely return to this campground.

Stayed here for 3 nights during our spring break. We were in site number 57 which is very close to the ocean. The bathrooms were very clean and overall the campground was very organized. The wifi is an extra cost and works very well. Nice place!

This was our first stay at this campground. The previous reviews say it all. This beautiful campground is the cleanest, neatest, most relaxing that I have ever camped at. I am sitting by the creek right now as I use the wireless access to submit this review. The location of this campground is great for visiting the Linville falls and caverns area as well as Mount Mitchell. We participated in the Saturday night covered dish dinner which was great! We will definitely come back to this campground.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Bathrooms were kept very clean and camp store had everything we needed during our stay. My only complaint is that the wireless internet did not work most nights. When the office opened in the mornings, I would report the problem, they would reset the modem and the connection would work again. The cable tv system is also currently not working. We took our kayaks and spent some time on the lake there. Would return again as there as a lot to do in the area.

Stayed here during the weekend that KOA had one free night. Campground was very clean and had several events planned for the weekend. It is located about 15 minutes from the beach and Wilmington. My only complaint is that they charge extra for more than 2 people, however I would return again.

Arrived here during midweek for a 3 night stay while visiting the area. Stayed at site 2, a premium site with excellent views. Folks managing the place were very friendly and we found the bathrooms/showers to be very clean. Would have given a 10 rating if I could have connected to the wireless network. The manager couldn't help me with this but I do know that others staying here had no problems connecting. Campground is somewhat secluded but you can be in downtown Asheville in about 10 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

This campground does not have some of the amenities that others do such as cable connections but the sites near the back of the property offer good privacy and the feeling of camping in the woods. There is a nice lake near the rear sites that can be fished easily. The tent sites are on the lake. Another advantage of this CG is it is the closest to the Zoo. I would recommend this CG to anyone that does not have a large camper and is not looking for modern facilities.
